Call for Artists!
Submissions are being accepted from Edgewood artists of all ages between July 6 and August 14. Artwork will be displayed in the fieldhouse on Community Day (August 29). Pieces will be judged according to age group (outlined below), including a ‘community favorite’ award, with voting for that to take place during the event. Prizes will be awarded (prizes can be collected from the borough office within 30 days of the event, you do not need to be present to win).
Submission parameters –
Theme: “What does community mean to me?”
Age groups: under 6; 6-12; 13-17; 18+
Pieces should be UNFRAMED (to adhere to display panels using Velcro). The maximum size should not exceed 20″ high x 20″ wide. Free standing works are not being accepted.
Panel judging criteria includes creativity, interpretation, and technical execution. No explicit material; artwork must be suitable for all ages. Art must be original – no AI generated art.
All art must be submitted by the August 14 deadline to allow adequate prep time for the event. Submissions should be dropped off at the Borough Office, 2 Race St, during normal business hours (M-F, 9am-5pm).
