Commercial Street Bridge Project Virtual Public Meeting

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and Fay, S&B USA Construction are pleased to invite you to attend a virtual public meeting being conducted on Wednesday, May 13 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM to discuss the I-376 Commercial Street Bridge Replacement project. Public awareness throughout the construction process is very important to the success of the project. This briefing offers the opportunity to hear about the upcoming traffic I-376 closure and future work plans, with a question-and-answer session with the project team. I-376 Parkway East Ramp Closure Begins Monday in Allegheny County

Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing a long-term ramp closure on I-376 (Parkway East) in the City of Pittsburgh and Edgewood, Swissvale boroughs, Allegheny County, will begin Monday, April 27 weather permitting. Starting Monday at approximately 12:01 AM, the eastbound I-376 off-ramp to Edgewood (Exit 77) toward South Braddock Avenue (after the Edgewood/Swissvale split) will be closed to traffic around-the-clock for bridge and roadway reconstruction work through late June. Please note, the ramp toward Swissvale will remain open. Traffic will be detoured. Posted Detour Eastbound I-376 to Edgewood toward South Braddock Avenue • Take the ramp on the right toward Swissvale • Turn left onto Monongahela Avenue • Follow Monongahela Avenue to the intersection of South Braddock Avenue • End detour

No Pets at Koenig Field

Please remember, no pets are allowed in any part of Koenig Field. For an off-leash dog area, there is a dog run available at Dickson Park. Parking for the dog run is available at the Aberdeen St entrance.

Teeball/Softball Registration

Registration for Summer Tee-ball and Softball opens Monday, March 23 and closes Friday, May 1. These sports play at Koenig Field in June and July. You do not need to be an Edgewood Resident to play. Participants are encouraged to bring their own equipment; however, bats, balls, gloves, and helmets will be available to use. The registration fee is $50, and can be accessed with the link below. This can range from helping on the field, to providing drinks or organizing snacks. Please let us know how you can help through the registration form. Tee-ball- Tee-ball is for girls and boys ages 4-7. Children should be 4 as of June 1st. This sport will meet twice weekly; days and times are TBD. Cleats may be worn, but are not necessary. Shirts and caps will be provided. Softball- Softball is open to girls and boys ages 7-13. This sport meets twice each week. Kids are encouraged to arrive early for warm-ups and batting practice. Participants should wear sturdy athletic shoes or cleats.
