Trunk or Treat at Koenig Field, October 27

Get your costumes ready! It’s Trunk or Treat at Koenig Field, hosted by the Edgewood Police Department. This event is happening at Koenig Field (401 Greendale Ave) on Tuesday, October 27 from 6-7:30pm. All are welcome to this free event! Kids must be accompanied by an adult. Koenig Field rules apply. 2026 Leaf Collection

Leaf collection starts tentatively the week of October 26. Please Note: This is LEAF Collection ONLY- Do Not Include Yard Waste. Place your LEAVES at the curb no sooner than the NIGHT BEFORE your pickup. DO NOT PLACE LEAVES IN THE STREET.  THEY CAN BLOCK CATCH BASINS AND BE HAZARDOUS TO MOTORISTS AND PEDESTRIANS.  PLEASE KEEP THEM AT THE CURB. Collection is weather dependent. Heavy rain or snow weighs down the leaves making them harder to vacuum. Additional time can be required if we experience several consecutive days of bad weather. Crews strive to collect each street on the posted day but that is not always possible. For the collection schedule, please click HERE.

I-376 Parkway East Ramp Closure Begins Monday in Allegheny County

Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing a long-term ramp closure on I-376 (Parkway East) in the City of Pittsburgh and Edgewood, Swissvale boroughs, Allegheny County, will begin Monday, April 27 weather permitting. Starting Monday at approximately 12:01 AM, the eastbound I-376 off-ramp to Edgewood (Exit 77) toward South Braddock Avenue (after the Edgewood/Swissvale split) will be closed to traffic around-the-clock for bridge and roadway reconstruction work through late June. Please note, the ramp toward Swissvale will remain open. Traffic will be detoured. Posted Detour Eastbound I-376 to Edgewood toward South Braddock Avenue • Take the ramp on the right toward Swissvale • Turn left onto Monongahela Avenue • Follow Monongahela Avenue to the intersection of South Braddock Avenue • End detour

No Pets at Koenig Field

Please remember, no pets are allowed in any part of Koenig Field. For an off-leash dog area, there is a dog run available at Dickson Park. Parking for the dog run is available at the Aberdeen St entrance.
