Right-to-Know and Open Records

Open Records

The State of Pennsylvania passed a Right-to-Know law on February 14, 2008.  This law required every community to create an open records officer and establish procedures when an individual makes a request for public information.  Edgewood Borough’s Right-to-Know officer is Julie Bastianini.

Before making an official request we encourage you to look on this web-site for information.

The Borough Code, which includes all legislation passed by Borough Council over the years, including our zoning ordinance, is available by clicking on Borough Information.

For a complete copy of the Borough Code, please click the following link to download the Code of the Borough of Edgewood from Keystate Publishers, Inc.  (The freely available Adobe Acrobat Reader is required.  Download Acrobat.

You can also use the following link to Search the Borough Code on the Keystate Publishers website (select Edgewood Borough and enter your search).

If there is something you do not see, you can call the Borough office to see if the information is already available.

If the information you want is not available on-line, you will find the application request form also on-line, in the downloads box to the right.

All requests must be made by using the application form.

Requests for information cannot be made anonymously.  The Borough will have up to five (5) days to provide you with the information, and again the cost is 25 cents per page.  A request that is denied will be done so in writing.
